Burger Battles!

Join us for Charlottetown’s newest culinary venture, Chef Battles! Between April 13 and 23, numerous Charlottetown restaurants are participating in Burger Battles, taking our chefs out of the kitchens and into the spotlight. Vote for your favourite burger and one talented chef will be crowned King or Queen of the Burger Battles.

Hunter’s Ale House: Chef Matt Feehan’s “Spicy Chicarrón”

  • Chef Matt’s love of spices is infused beautifully with 2 3oz island beef patties, crispy pork belly, herb slaw, kettle chips, cheddar cheese, ancho lime aioli, Valentina hot sauce

The Factory Downtown: Chef Axel Birt’s “Sweet & Smokey”

  • Chef Axel combines two fan favourite flavours with 2 4oz island beef patties, topped with mozzarella, caramelized mushrooms and onions, sweet mustard BBQ sauce, 3 strips of bacon, and smokey aioli, served on a garlic buttered grilled bun

Phinley’s Restaurant: Chef Greg Wishart’s “Swayzie Express”

  • This “Trailer Park Boys” inspired creation consists of 2 4oz island beef patties, zesty cheese sauce, “dressed all over” chips, housemade beer mustard, and rum & Coke pepperoni jam on a pretzel bun

John Brown Richmond Street Grille: Chef Sal Ashenaei’s “Better Call Sal”

  • Chef Sal puts a his spin on a classic with 2 3oz island beef smash patties topped with pancetta, cheesy cheese sauce, mac sauce, pickles and shredduce on a pretzel bun
